A wireless smart monitor is an electrical device that can transmit
information from your electricity meter using wireless technology,
to anywhere in your home, showing you how much electricity you are
consuming, and more importantly, how much money it is costing every
hour.

What's the difference between a smart electricity meter and a smart electricity monitor?
A smart electricity meter is an advanced electricity usage meter that identifies consumption in more detail than a conventional electricity meter; and, generally, communicates the usage information via some network back to the local electricity company for monitoring and billing purposes.
A smart electricity monitor helps you track how much electricity you use, encouraging a reduction in energy while saving money because the monitor gives instantly an accurate reading of how much electricity you are consuming. A smart electricity monitor does not generally report it's findings back to the electricity company.
